arducopter crash

Hi,I put on some new landing gear on my quad so i could take photos - The compass went off again so i re-calibrated the quad (2.9b) - this did not help much so i decided to test version 3 rc4 ( recommended this as an option last week) and performed a motor compass cal and the compass cal -I flew in stabilize and it seemed ok.I setup an auto mission with ROI -here is what happened (plus attached tlog)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckiDQfSSQX4&feature=youtu.beAfter i reverted to 2.9b , fixed the quad removed the landing gear and its fine now.Do you think this may of had anything to do with a "bad" calibration done by me?We have no idea why the crash happened but it may be the following:When we found the quad, the nut screwing on the prop was missing with no sign of thread damage so we assume this was loose and may be the cause of the crashbad motor compass calbad compass calother issue with RC4 that we dont know abouti may of had the ROI set to 100 metres height - i dont have a gimbal so maybe the quad points up towards this roi as it goes from waypoint to waypoint - i dont know how ROI operates in full detail yet as the documentation is sparse. Also im not sure if the tlog contains the original flight plan - i cant see this. The quad is ok by the way did about 10 euros worth of damage.thanksDamien--Damien Fitzgerald

  • I think the nut spun off when the prop abruptly stopped spinning from contacting the ground. Maybe it was a clockwise prop? I think if the nut flew off in flight, the quad would have spun out of control instead of what I see in the video. I didn't look at your log but I think the nut could be ruled out.
