Hello
In cold weather and hard ground, the tip of the fiber carbon legs peel off at first, and then they break off. I assumed the new legs are made from carbon fiber.
I do not see what purpose these tips serve but make the landing harder on the frame.
If the tips are removed the legs are flexible and act like a sponge for hard landing.

Eh... what legs
Are these the 3DR one's?
Here is the photo of the broken tip. You can see it cannot be repaired. I do not mind ordering more of them but I am sure they shall break the same way in the cold air.
You can see where it broke is the weak link for the design.
I remember some place was mentioned that Chris A. had a prototype of these legs made with ''plastic knives". I think that idea is excellent. What the carbon fiber legs without tips provide is a spongy springy landing which is desired.
The tips make the landing much harder.
I could be wrong.
I also did not mean to criticize anyone's design.
