Mini APM for next LEGO Drone

I am looking at making a new LEGO drone project, this would be my 3rd one

1st one used APM 2.5

2nd NAZA

I loved the APM functionality and NAZA small size, now I want to put them together

Because I don't think 3DR officially sells a Mini APM 2.6 and I want it inside the LEGO drone I am looking at this one for the next prj

Given its not an official 3DR or uBloc GPS can anyone tell if they "think" it will work with the latest 3.2 firmware?

This one looks simple to use, no soldering, eventually I want to offer to customers for brickdrones.com if it works out.

I would rather have an official mini 3DR one but looks like thats not an option ATM

If you have other suggestions please let me know.

Thanks, Ed,

  • you can run the current firmware on those yes

Hobbyking also offers the min version, I think if I recall rctimer does too

since the whole apm project is open source, there is no real official product rather just who produces a specific flavor

you might look here for a specific post about that version or even check rcgroups maybe one there too

    • Thanks, with 3.2 I read

      • Dropped support for NMEA and SIRF GPS on APM boards (ran out of Flash space)

but I don't think this GPS is either of these.

still would rather use 3DR if ever they make one in the future...thanks again.
