Missing firmware tab?

Has anyone else experienced this?  I've upgrade to 1.2.66 Mission planner, and have no firmware tab.  Seems odd, but I can't figure out what's happening.

  • Figured out what the problem was...  My copter was out of commission for awhile, and I updated the PPM firmware, and mission planner ( last time was Februaryish) and when going back into Mission planner, I expected to see the firmware tab as mission planner had no problem reading the PID values when connecting.   You actually have to go back into initial setup and install firmware as Charles mentioned (and the instructions from Gary)

I think the challenge was that this changed from previous mission planner versions, as there used to be a firmware tab.

Problem solved, thanks for all the help!  really appreciate the support.  hopefully this post helps others as well.

  • I have installed the trimmed Image from Charles and a description in the Mission Planner install firmware page.

However it ends up we will get it in there, it already tells you to NOT select the Connect icon.

Depends upon your version...I brought this up with the mission planner guys and it only appears when you're disconnected.  I think they will change it in a future version so it's always there but greyed out.

  • Its under "initial setup" then "install firmware"3692794524?profile=original
