Hi all,
i'm an italian university student and me and a pair of friends are really interested in building our first drone (probably a quadcopter). I see that the store has everything we need but, since we are down here in italy, we are going to spend a lot if we do not plan the thing with caution.
i would like to ask a few questions:
What is in the Ardupilot mega board? I mean can it be re-assembled using other stuff (like the original at mega 2560 that i can buy here in italy for cheaper shipping costs) or some parts (like the gps i think) are soldered (or something else) and i cannot made them (especially with my not so high knowledge in electronics)?
Also i was wondering if there were other italians (maybe near rome) on this community!
thanks all for the help

APM 2.5 is software compatible with Arduino, but does not use Arduino hardware. You cannot use a regular Arduino board with it.
welcome ale , i live near Rome , i've bought the chinese clone ( rctimer (.) com ) the quality is high , you 've only to solder some parts , the gps antenna is plug and play also telemetry
