Hi all,
I was looking at the telemetry setup and know that you can use 3g, uhf etc but was interested to know if anyone had started using satellites?
Let's ignore the latency issue for the moment as it would be used more for location and waypoints / missions etc at the moment.
Has anyone implemented satellite telemetry for multicopters (or planes) or looking into it?
Cheers,
David.

Im not wanting to start any type of tech war here.
However, let's just pretend that money isnt an object and we're LEGALLY using geosynchronous government satellites.
The question still remains... Is anyone doing it or looking into it?
I use telemetry over 3G , and it's not turn key
How much range are you looking for?
Thanks JEFF
While I was studying for my ham license (for 1.2GHZ FPV), the same thought crossed my mind. Apparently amateur satellites are a thing: http://ww2.amsat.org/.
Unless the military has found a way to break the laws of physics, the latency must be managable.
