  • @ Thomas Stanley-Jones the tool that Cala suggested works great for servo plug type connectors and the pins and sockets can be found just about anywhere-hobby.

As for the DF13 connectors I buy from Digi-key, here is the link to the CONN CONTACT 26-30AWG CRIMP TIN (pins), DF13-2630SCF

and here is a link to CONN SOCKET HOUSING 4POS 1.25MM, DF13-4S-1.25C:

I buy 2-6 pin housings and Digi-key sells up to 40 pin ones.

The HK crimp tool I didn;t have much luck with and I have a similar tool that I paid $130 for and doesn't do any better.

The best tool I found that works numerous types of pins/sockets(package says

80 different types of terminals) including the Servo and DF15 is a:

PA-09 Micro Connector Pliers by Engineer that you can get for under $40, works on 32-20awg wire, Molex, JST etc. pins.

    Hope this Helps-Don

@Warren http://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-loading-firmware-onto-pixha... Keep in mind that the last firmware compatible with APM are Copter 3.2.1 and Plane 3.3.0.

  • I want to upgrade to the last supported firmware for an APM. Could someone advise where I find the file please?

  • Im having a slight problem with my GPS unit. It's a NEO 6m. It was working fine before i updated its config file. Last night i upgraded its config file using the instructions written on wiki. It was all good then I checked mission planner. GPS is now getting more than 9 Satellite( im getting 11 now). When i checked my GPS. Its just solid blue now. The red or orange (sorry im colorblind) is not blinking anymore. Before, the LED is blinking if there's already a 3D fix.How can I make those LED blink again ? I checked mission planner, it has 3d fix but the led is not blinking.

  • Thank's for fast response Stephen, is like the servo connectors? I try but it's looks that plastic tab doesn't move? they looks different, I'm going to share a photo.

Thomas, I hope you need this tool http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__13446__HobbyKing_JST_SH_... you can find in electronics shop too and the pins too

  • Along the lines of Cala's question, I would like to make my own wires for Jr connectors and Df connectors, but I haven't been able to figure out what the crimp tool is or where to get the pins that go on the end of the wires. Can someone point me in the right direction?
  • T3

@Cala an exacto knife can be used to get under the plastic tab on the front of the connector and let the pin slide out.

  • I'm installing the Lidar Lite, and have two wires that don't use, how can I remove them from molex connector without cutting them?

  • @Darius,

I have no relation with the Barcelona Drone Center, just wanted to share their installations that are quite nice.

Regarding your project of CORS stations, please note that the hardware and sofware are available since 2012, so just let us know, whenever you want. Just drop a lite at emea@northgps.com and we can help you with the design and setup. I'll forward your email so you can talk with technical sales.

Regarding your rover, if you can feed 7-14VDC, then there is no problem to integrate the RTK on it.

Drone flying to non visible point

Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. It goes straight to some point, so I assume it's not mechanical problem. I attached the link to…

Will AHRS_ORIENTATION=8 for Arducopter 3.2.1 on APM 2.5 using a traditional Heli

I have been Reading Chris Olsen posts and watching his videos on Arducopter with traditional Helis using a Pixhawk.I have inherited an older Trex 450 heli with the old Align 3G FBL hardware.  The FBL controller appears to be bad.  So I have an old APM 2.5 without a compass or GPS on board.  I just want to replace the failed Align 3G FBL system with the APM.Now I have to mount the APM under the skids on the heli so the APM will be upside down.I have Two questions.1)  Is the AHRS_ORIENTATION=8…
