I am curious to know if there is any benefit to using 5.8 Circular Polarized Antenna moreover the transmitter antenna and receiver antenna that come factory on the Iris+.

I have watched a lot of his videos and I want to assume that on 5.8ghz the FPV antenna information he gives applies the same to the antenna on the transmitter and receiver that are not being used as hardware for FPV but communication from the transmitter to the receiver to fly the craft.
That's a good question. My guess as to why the CP antennas are talked about/used more with the video is that there is a lot more bandwidth required (not sure if that is an accurate term for analog video, but you know what I mean) for the video transmission than there is for data sent for telemetry, or for actual control transmissions between transmitter and receiver.
