Hello all,
I’m looking for a smaller/lighter alternative to the Pixhawk.
I need to use ardupilot’s relay-type camera shutter, with a fixed-wing craft, for automated flights with shutter triggered automatically (on the Pixhawk, I’d use the AUX/RC ports).
I also need to use Emlid's Reach RTK-GPS.
I started to look at Pixracer and PXFmini - I'm trying to find out if there is any possibility of AUX OUT for triggering cameras on either. Does anyone know? Or does anyone have any other FC to recommend?
Thanks a lot,
Fred Jean

That's great, I think I understand! Thanks a lot Hein.

Hi Fred, indeed you can do triggering with the pixfalcon or other (non-aux) px4. Some cameras require PWM signal, some a relay. If your camera requires a relay for signalling, then you'll need the device above (reads PWM signal and closes a relay accordingly).
Thanks Hein
I wasn't clear. I'm looking to automate the trigger using waypoints via the autopilot's capabilities (http://ardupilot.org/plane/docs/common-camera-shutter-with-servo.ht...).

I'm assuming you need a relay function, because pwm out for camera trigger works on any pix*. Perhaps look at something like https://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&... ? It will allow you to use PWM from Ardupilot and close or open a relay. Then you can use a tiny FC such as the Pixfalcon.
