Help me analyze this log file - near crash.

Hi guys. I'm down with an ongoing project a 3.2m Gemini V2 fitted with a lot of gear, including a Pixhawk. During the last days we have been working on the Autotune to get the Pixhawk ready for FBW mode.

We've set the LIM_ROLL_CD value to 40 degrees but during the last two trips we have taken the plane into a tight turn, even with the max value at 40 degrees the plane still reaches 45 degrees, keeping that turn for about 5 sec it suddenly does a rapid movement and putting the plane into a vertical roll. Both of the times the pilot was able to recover out of the roll. It might have been on the edge of the low speed, the MIN speed is set to 12 m/s, the speeds where in the 13-14m/s range during the bank.

There are two incidents, one at 13.5 min and the second at 95.5 min.

The first time it was in AUTOTUNE, second was FBWA.

Stall prevention is turned ON.

The log is to big to attach here, but it's linked to my Google drive folder:

  • Yeah, that would be us.

Nothing is published at this point. We're still in the testing phase.

    Hi Eivind,

I can't help a lot with this, I use 45 deg on my Skywalker and no pb so far. But I am very interested in following your progress on the Gemini.

I am following Bearospace news and I saw a Gemini for Norway for an African project. Is that you ? Do you publish something on this subject ?

Btw, I am based in Cameroon.

    Cheers
