Dear all,
I have a hexacopter with a Pixhawk flight controller. I have decided to use an old Hitec 35Hz radio I had to control it with a PPM encoder and it does hits job, the problem is that it is too much disturbed by interference and I have risked to crash already twice.
So I think it is better to buy a newer 2.4GHz system.
I have seen the FrSky X9D that is already PPM sum, but it is difficult to find in Europe and costs quite a lot.
Do you have any suggestion? For me it is fine also use the PPM encoder I already have.
Thanks.

Hi
Almost any of the current models of 2.4 Gh radio will work with your PPM Encoder as that is made to just convert the standard PWM from all radios to PPM
Where it gets interesting in if using PPM 3DR claim the PPM has to be PPM-sum and only list a couple of compatible transmitters.
Howver the word on the street is that PPM is the standard so any PPM Radio will work direct, without it needing to be PPM-sum whatever the sum is supposed to mean.
As to radio choice the world is your oyster so to speak and depends on how much you want to spend, if you are on a budget the i6/i10 offerings from turnigy/FlySky "(The i6 is even better value when flashed with the 10 channel firmware)" are worth a look as is the FrSky Taranis for a bit more money then you have your more expensive Spektrum offerings followed well up the price ladder by Futaba.
A lot will depend on were you are buying from
for the money I can only recommend Taranis
