DJI GO and Andriod

We just bought UgCS and I have a Galaxy Tab A6.  It seems with DJI Go's latest version this tablet cannot handle the camera feed.  Which I think is the reason we are not getting a camera feed in UgCS.

I'm running Andriod version 5.1.1.

Is there anyway to bypass the DGI GO limitation or another workaround in UgCS?

  • Dear Angela,

If camera preview is not shown in DJI Go4 application, this might be issue related to drone hardware.

Can you try different Android device?

  • Hi Janis-

Yes we have enabled camera preview.  Right now we are testing on a Phantom 4 pro, but our main aircraft will be a M600.

The camera feed doesn't show up in DJI Go4 either.

  • Dear Angela,

Could you please give more details - what drone are you using?

Do you have have enabled camera preview in UgCS for DJI settings?

  • I bought was on UgCS's list of approved devices.

Is this list out of date then?

  • Dear Angela,

Galaxy Tab A6 is rather old device and is not included in list of compatible devices for DJI Go https://www.dji.com/lv/downloads/djiapp/dji-go-3

UgCS for DJI is built based on DJI Mobile SDK, if your android device is not able to run DJI Go with all functionality, UgCS for DJI may not work on it, too.

According to Galaxy Tab A6 specification (https://www.samsung.com/nz/tablets/galaxy-tab-a-7-0-2016-t285m/) it has only 1.5GB RAM, what is not enough for recent version of applications.
