Hello all,
Happy to see the release of the UgCS for DJI app with compatibility for the Phantom 4 Pro.
After installing, I ran into issues connecting the P4 pro to the android app, yet the Matrice 600 connected fine. I've tried using it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 running Android 7 (also tried with android 6 and same issue), and a Motorola Moto X Pure running android 6.0 yet the same issue occurs.
Neither of them have DJI Go installed on them, and they still both connect to the Matrice 600, but when I try to connect the Phantom, the app either :
A: Instantly stops responding if the usb options are set to default open the UgCS app
B: The USB settings dialog box that asks what application to use will flash on the screen and then disappear. UgCS cannot find the drone when I start the app manually afterwards
I believe it has to do with the USB options in the device. It default connects to MTP through the RC, and this causes the USB settings Pop-up box to flash and eventually disappear. However, if the USB setting is changed to "Charging" or "None" the USB settings box will open sometimes and stay.
Upon much trial and error, I discovered a workflow that seems to be a valid workaround for this issue.
First time Setup: Go to the device settings and give UgCS all of the permissions.
1. Turn everything off
2. Connect device to the radio controller
3. Turn on radio controller
4. USB connection pop-up should appear, if it flashes and disappears, change the usb settings to "NONE"
5. Open with UgCS (DO NOT HIT AS DEFAULT, as app crashes upon next attempt to reconnect)
6. UgCS should say "Waiting for connection" (if it says checking permissions, See first time setup above)
7. Turn on the Phantom 4 Pro and wait for the UAV to connect
Hope this helps others facing the same situation,
-Dylan

Hi Dylan,
Thanks for the tip, I am sure this will help other P4 users.
Additionally I hope that this will also help our developers to pinpoint a connection issue and fix it within next version.
Thanks for your effort!
