Talon wing extensions

Hello to all,

I have been flying X-UAV Talon for 2 years on mapping projects, once I saw there was a possibility to include wing extensions so you would get more lift to carry more batteries an increase your flight time.  However they were discontinued.  I designed and tested a custom made Wing extension kit.  If you are interested please check this link:

    That looks great. Not sure about aluminum rods though. If they bend they keep the bent shape.

    I would also encourage you to fit it for flaps. It's something I have been meaning to do with one of my extra extensions so I can land in much shorter distances. This aircraft can float for ages.

It's something I have been meaning to do with one of my extra extensions so I can land in much shorter distances" Do you mean the extension part should have their own flaps too an so each with a servo?  How much has been your maximum flight time with you Talon? What about range? I have Dragon link I'm yet to test longer range flights. But I had some few issues with the Dragon Link so I have just receive brand new V3. Apparently, i could use it for telemetry as well, so I need to figure out extending Bluetooth connectivity so that when I launch standing say 50m away for the GCS I do not loose connectivity.

    You are the man. I think i will need this mate. But question, do I need to modify the battery connections as well? There are connections for only two batteries at the moment. Also, I want to get rid of the glass dome, there was a guy who showed us here that he made cone noses using 3D Printer but he does not mass produce for sale. Any idea if you can do this for me please? Can you also point be to where  could purchase the aluminium tubes??

    Lasttly, the Chinese maker of the Talon body have come up with a new body tey call it "NEW TALON X" apparently it is better material and no nose glass dome. I requested for a price they sell the body for over 2,500kUSD. Any idea where to buy alternately??

    I would like to assemble my own Talon for the first time.
