Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

Generally interested in flying a machine for fun but particularly interested in enhancing autopilot using internal models of the UAV to i) predict outcomes of actions ii) compare predictions with observed results iii) improve the prediction model and iv) recommend actions based on desired outcomes. Both short term effects such as crosswind or weight distribution, and longer term effects such as gradual motor wear or ESC performance can be factored into the control system, further abstracting either the (auto) pilot from the control of the vehicle, but allowing them to concentrate on desired outcomes rather than how to achieve those outcomes.

"I had a similar problem using Auto, not RTL when between waypoints I got a large altitude increase which was not part of the plan.
