About Me:

I'm a mechanical engineering junior at Colorado State University. I recently took a class on mechatronics where I learned PIC Programming basics and digital electronics. The class culminated in a group project and we came up with the idea to do an autonomous blimp. Because of this project, I have become interested in creating other UAV's in other flight platforms. I am hoping to start a new helicopter uav in the new year.

"When flying in RC mode it works great, but when searching for the beacon, if the blimp gets confused it just spins in circles. Part of the problem is the sensitivity of the IR sensors. Most of the time the front 3 sensors receive the same number of…"

Nick Wagner commented on Chris Anderson's blog post How can we make IR beacons with unique IDs for Blimpduino?
"Speaking of the beacons... Have you made your own yet? I know its probably a minor concern at this point, but I was designing a 555 timer based beacon in async mode but I've not decided on a good duty cycle which would send a recordable pulse as…"

Nick Wagner commented on Chris Anderson's blog post New BlimpDuino test platform (now with RC!)
"The links you have for the props are broken... I was just wondering what model you were looking at using for the test platform, or better yet the final product."
