  • UAV Hardware in loop tester for MS Flight Sim. Ive been working on this for a month or two. Finally got it the way I want it. Elevator and Aileron are control by servo inputs. There is a bank and pitch output that roughly simulates a 2 axis Accelerometer (1.80Vdc 0 deg, 2.4V+40 Deg and 1.3 V -40Deg) - Simulates a Freescale 0.5g - 6g 3 axis chip output. One serial input is for the CHCOMM3A port (read and write position and control surface data) and the other serial port provides GPS data from Flight Sim (via GPSout). This gives a 0-5v gps serial out on the terminal block. It uses 2 Pic microchips (16F628s) one for reading orientation data and outputing to the respective DAC (pitch and bank). The other PIC reads the servo input sending data to CHCOMM to update the Elevator and Aileron. The hole thing is a bit of a hack - the bank voltage jumps around a bit - it should be good enough though for me to bench test simple UAV prototype boards.
