Arms will be aluminum, center and carrier plates either FiberGlass G10/FR4, PoluCarbonate or similar....

And thank you for your solidwork files. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact :P
  • Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm bit of a newbie when it comes to R/C so I'm really excited to see how Arducopter project pans out.

I agree with ken regarding the powder coating, it could add too much unwanted weight.

What kind of materials are planned for each of the parts? Plastic/Wood/Carbon Fibre??

BTW, I'll post some links to the solidwork files later on tonight.
  • Oh, I love the color. Just thinking about cost...Excellent rendering

Well let's see about that color ;)

I might even include it especially if we get big enough runs to diecasting company. Yes it will add some extra cost but that should not be too much.

    So no color, Ken?

Nice render, Daniel! Like rapper here: more visions ... better decisions!
  • powder coating would add unwanted weight while anodizing would not. Either method will add cost.

yep .looks like a winning color combo. are u planing to anodize it or powder coat or some thing else?

Dang.. it looks great too :)

You could add small oval holes to side of Arm bar. mounting hole is 5mm from end of bar. side hole start's at 10mm - 25mm have round ends and it's 6 mm at height. If looking that arm on right/low conder, then you would see this oval cable exit hole inside frame area.
