  •   very good  you have the design of the UAV

  • What is the wingspan?

  • I built the fuselage using 12oz fiberglass cloth & epoxy resin, the epoxy resin i used takes 12 to 18 hours to cure. However, once the first layer has cured and has been sanded another layer of resin is applied mixed with microbeads. Furthermore, once the second layer has harden the surface can be sanded down to a smooth finish. This entire process took me more than a week to finish.

Now this fuselage seems to be lite in weight but after installing gear, radio epuipment, fuel tank & engine i am up to 3.5 lbs with the wings weighing around 2.5 lbs. For an engine i have installed an O.S Max La 40 with a tricked out muffler. My conclusion is that i'm really not concerned about the aircraft total weight, my real concern is about not having enough power to push...

  • If the airframe is too heavy then no need to use high power engine. Can you tell me what type of the material used?

  • i like this design as well! This looks similar to the aircraft I'm building. I trying to keep total flying weight around 72 ozs. i just hope I have enough engine propulsion with the wing configuration I'm using. I might need to step up to a four stroke engine instead. Your UAV looks stable.

  • really good design UAV

  • I like this design, it looks very robust from the landing gear up.  The motor location is in an interesting location, cooling will be very good for sure and the cargo bay looks huge.  Nice.
