This was a demonstration test in a Michigan DOT pump station. The idea is that UAVs could be used to remotely assess the condition of confined spaces and survey for hazardous gasses prior to sending in a person. This example was using a CrazyFlie, which turns out to be too little, but it is good for show and tell. We ended up building a Blackout Mini-H Quad that I can dangle sensors off of.
