  • It has already flown for the Navy to try out some ELINT gear.
  • I'll have to ask what the weight is. I'm the electronics engineer, so I really haven't memorized all the specs to our airframes yet. There is no autopilot yet, it has been flying remotely operated in the past. I am the one in charge of making this beast autonomous. It's on the back burner now, since I am really concentrating on a VTOL airframe and a tube launched system. I have a MicroPilot system that has been sitting on my desk for a while that I need to try out.

    I'll give a quick plug for my company if you want to look at our other stuff. I'm talking with Chris for selling one of our airframes in the DIY Drones store. We have no vaporware. Everything has already been designed, built, and flown.

  • more like 500 k.g full up weight. doesn't this size/weight need spl permission from relevant authority?

  • now that is real size UAV , the one we fly cannot take me even if I want to ;-( , hey no AP no problemo , you can sit on top and take it around :))))).

  • Pretty close except for a high wing and Rotax engine instead of a VW.
