They are taken from a paper entitled "An efficient orientation filter for inertial and
inertial/magnetic sensor arrays" which is has been submitted for IROS 2010, though we are awaiting acceptance.
We will be releasing for the internal report this Friday (28/03/2010). It details the derivation and evaluation of the algorithm, and implementations optimised in C are provided in the appendix. If you are interested - message me your email address and I will send you a copy or download link.
