If you are interested to know more about the history of iRobots, the vacuum cleaners, the war robots, UAV, UGV, UUV, human aspects, legal aspects and many other very interesting topics I highly recommend reading this book. I recently finished reading it and I was overwhelmed about its extensive coverage of robotics Revolution.
By the way DIYDrones and Chris are mentioned in chapter 14 of the book.
Well, they're not perfect, but their performance is fairly impressive. For some reason, my back starts aching very in a short time when using the traditional, manually powered, vacuum cleaner. So, I appreciate the relief from that pain that these robots provide me. They still have to be kept clean and maintained in order to keep them running well. I don't like that aspect of them, so much.

I have one - could not live without it. Don't dance with it though, that would be a bit weird. Next you'll be sharing a glass of red with it...
"Dance with vacuum cleaner" nominé au oscar....
I don't get why these glorified vacuum cleaners still cost so much.
