Hi,
It's been a busy two weeks over the New Year, adding new features to APM Planner 2.0 and fixing some of the issues raised. The current changes include
- Better handling of missions with Waypoint 0 being marked as the HOME location
- Improvements to dataflash log analysis
- Performance improvements to reduce CPU overhead
- Extra GPS parameters viewable on the map as a overlay
- Update to APM:Plane PIDs display
- Layout corrections to APM:Rover
- plus many other small fixes
Thanks for all the great feedback, more improvements to come

Have a great weekend
PS: Next release we will try and add autoupdates as this will be the best way to notify users of new changes

@JM & CA: I've removed that warning message. The fix will be in the next release of AP2.
I've deleted my question from here and have a look on ardupilot forum.
Thanks !
Bill: JM is just referring to these lines in the Messages Window, which we've talked about before. I know there's not meaningful errors, but if there is a way to suppress them from displaying, that would avoid user confusion.
APM Planner 2.0 is a new GSC, which has ported the functionality of Mission Planner to the cross-platform QGC architecture. It's primarily used today for people who want a native Mac OSX or Linux solution.
The same here in a 13inch macbook pro
@Austin: What screen size are you using?
how do I increase the size of the Art Horizon? Mine is tiny like a slit. I drag down on the bar and it turns blue but wont increase???
Both Mission Planner and APM Planner are open source projects, as long as they are both maintained, they'll be useful for the community. And this depends on how many people contribute and to which project. To ask the question is it a replacement: No, it's just a solution that meets some different requirements.
You now have a choice it which suits your application the best.
Will mission planner disappear after APM Planner becomes stable?
