Hi All,Been hanging around here for quite a while now and gleaning as much information as i can, maybe its time to give something back.One of the biggest problems we found was that when in the field, its hard to get all the information where you need it, re-sizing all the windows, if you touch the pad, you can lose the window you want, always the GS, hard to find the pointer to bring it back, when you have one eye on the aircraft one eye on this...So this is my attempt..I hope its usefull to you.Please give feedback as to you thoughts and any improvements.GROUND STATION 2.6.4 UPDATE::1024x768 GCS for smaller LaptopsTrue speed indicator updated for greater accuracyYou can set True speed to MPH/KMH (defaults to KMH) & Altitude to Meters/feet (default Meters)Tme Left estimator, a better accuracy with a new gauge. Throttle works for me.
The mode switching doesn't work but the data is coming in as STT ok.
I like the look but RTL should be red and waypoint blue. (my preference)

As promissed, here is what I have so far. I need to check some of the values on the airspeed as I may have connected the grong signal to the dial. I had to re do the via and all the annoying problems went away. All my command buttons are fiunctional but are not connected to the visa out. I will play with this tonight.

Mode...ok this i can understand, as im coding blind, no way to test...
throttle will always be 99% until, yuo have a combination of airspeed and ground speed, plus, your code for the ardupilot must have its m/s over ground sorted, plus center speed must not be too high...(what a mouth full)
-288 can be one of a few things, 1st probably damp in the sensor...(or it didnt calibrate properly) had ths big time, drove me mad!..
Secondly, dry joint / dodgy conection from shield to board
Check what version of code is loaded...
(this will also give you 99% on throttle..if the airspeed sensor is lying)

The strange is that I had until yesterday a correct value for airspeed and now it shows -288m/s both on GS and on AS! It glitches sometimes briefly to 0.
That's not possible....
I cant test this at the mo as i mentioned were moving premises, but here is 2.4.6b (beta) more to do, but need someone to test if the WP stuff is working...
Yes, so you hook up 2 gamepads..one guy flies the aircraft and monitors it the other chap uses the camera with the other gampad, or if your quick on your feet , one guy couild do both!
Completely agree with yoru sentiments about the community. the main reason im killing myself trying to do 7 things at once!..lol
Sue It does Doc , Go for it, lacking any other similar products in market that I know of, I suggested it, more over lacking response from them regarding one of my technical clarification email, thought you or other might have better response :) with first hand experience . So I am holding back my order too, now that you are working on similar product/idea , gives more option and freedom to the community, creates more ideas and creativity is always is backbone of this community and forum IMHO.
Now as to Gimbal control , do you mean using standard joystick or game pad used in computer games/simulators( I would love to use mine if possible) since GCS is now clearly doing well in windows/inte platform?
To be honest Ric, i had not thought about it......its set up for my medium UAV.......erm i will look at that see if i can make that a default issue.....hmmmmmm got me there.....
Mecha....cool, yes change the VI to Gcs.vi or as said it will look great with a white sqr...lol...
As i said LV has some odd quirks...i have no clue why the ALT is shown in the name!....its not set in any of the configs my end.....lol.....
