We have put together a survey to capture information about what professional users are looking for in an autopilot.
Please fill out this survey for all of the vehicle types you would like to fit an autopilot into.
Thank you

Oh, they didn't add that yet? I had asked them to when this first came out over a week ago.
Not surprising to me, because PX4 Flight Stack can't fly helicopters so... they don't exist. Yet there are 3, count them 3, different types of VTOL airplane.
Here's what the results will say: "New Flash! Survey says nobody is interested in flying helicopters!"
Hi Craig,
There is no option to choose helicopters.
I would be very interested to see results, and try to contribute. As said Roberto, things are evolving fast in Europe.
I'm going to publish them soon. I just wanted to raise awareness of its existence and give people a chance to fill it out before closing it off. I'll give it another few days
@Craig, If possible, I'd really like to see the results of this survey. At least the answers to the longevity and number of vendors question.
@Craig about the professional use of drone could be better to create a Group and share our experience i have a lot of professional user that use our board in europe and need support and custom firmware development could be better to map inside drone code the requirment and resource and work togheter for better support the customers. In last meeting of Drone Code already spoke about the need of certification of flight control in italy. Now i understand that it is a requirment in the rest of the world ,too .
The first step in our company for Eurocae Certification of software is the certification of company as ISO 9100 . This quality certification is for aeronautical process certification . Is not so simple for an organization obtain this kind of qualification.
Another important requirment in europe is miniaturization
This drone is only 274 grams. It's for professional market for use without pilot licence and in urban area.
Our complete electronic board is only 40 grams with all component inside , flight controller , esc , bec ,telemetry radio modem ecc ecc
The flight Control is our custom design based on experience to VR Brain 4/5/6 and support APM Firmware with STM32F4 and STM32F7 in future will be available with PX4 firmware we are evaluate how port it on the board. It's already use Nuttx as operating systems. The weight is only 5 grams . The VR Brain 6 core is for OEM and have professional support for custom design and implementation of new feature. Could be nice in the form add this kind of board too for understand if this kind of specification is appreciated by customers.

as i already told to Craig and Leonard my opinion is that the hardware is a commodity and it is indipendent to the software. So could be better to work in a enviroment where the board manufacture support design of new advanced hardware and the firmware is supported and developed by customers requirment.
Could be better to monitor the customer requirment instead of hardware design . For example we already have a prototype of STM32F7 board where we are work to port APM Copter ... the design is more powerfull of F4 but is not fully compatible with Pixhawk standard design .
About the certification in europe is very important ISO 9100 and Eurocae 12D for critical application .
I don't understand if is a form from Drone Code or from ETH hardware design team ... Inside the Drone Code there are company that don't use Pixhawk hardware design , but use APM Copter firmware . And support locally a lot of Professional User , interact with local FAA and involve in different advanced project and share result of this work with the rest of community ...

Nice schematics, but ESCs getting fried independently are replaced accordingly, with single unit (4in1) we may have limitation of requiring total replacement. just a random thought.
