Big Site-Wide Changes are Coming!

We are in the process of making some significant changes to our site layout and content to improve the overall ease-of-use experience here at DIY Drones.

As part of that effort, we wanted to put out the first section of the site that is ready for community-wide peer review.  You can see the updates at:

http://copter.ardupilot.com

We need to add the footer, and a few other small things, but we want your input!

Please take a look through the site and the wiki, and submit your feedback to:

feedback@3drobotics.com

We'll do our best to keep up with the comments here, but using the address above will definitely get noticed.

Thank you!

  • The wiki presentation and content are A LOT more clear now! Great stuff.

  • @Joshua:  Ok, I'll put it on my To Do list.  ;)

@Yves, We are trying to port the users from DIYD to a new forum, if we can do it, cool :) if not we'll open a new registrations for the forum.

  • Hello, very nice work. And the forum, how do I register?

This is not the DIY DRONES account.

    Thank you.

  • Very Web 2.0 layout. More organized than the old googlecode wiki--now is the old wiki going to still exist (for historical purposes?)

  • Thank you Joshua,

    I agree completely.

  • Dany,

Thanks I put a reminder at the top of "Setup". I'll put together a page of resources

    Gary,

That's just a temporary condition, it will be accesible just like any wiki. It's focused on the APM 2.5, but all the other info is still there. The idea is to make easy to use whether going fast or slow. Get the basics nailed in the beginning, and all the really nerdy stuff is deeper in.

Think of the first hand-full of pages as a User Manual that answers %90 of the questions, and then the wiki comes after that.

  • What they have inserted so far looks good, but it is very 3DR specific.

And so far from what I can see 3DR has exclusive access.

If it is going to essentially be a 3DR support site editable only by 3DR or 3DR chosen personnel then it is a manual not a Wiki.

Still it is very early days and there is no clear intention of this at all, just lacking additional information.

would be nice to still link to the "other" frames... Is this to be 3DR specific?  I really liked it when we could also get the jDrones stuff instructions.  Makes it a nice one stop for all.
