""video from the drone without latency"

Really? A digital video link with compression but no latency? I would love to see a comparison video with a standard analog video link (PAL/NTSC over 5.8ghz) like a lot of fpv racers use today."

Wipo commented on Thomas J Coyle III's blog post Hybrid Power Could Help Drone Delivery Take Off
"@ Rob:
For reliability, look at starting up a gas engine in cold weather. I don't think that you can deny that starting a gas engine in winter or summer is the same. In winter it will take more effort to fire up a gas engine. And it will need a…"

"The reason why choosing this hybrid application and not a helicopter is maintenance.

Although more efficient, helicopters or multirotors with variable pitch props and/or direct drive gas engines will have a higher maintenance frequency and cost.

"@Dwgsparky: I don't want the LEDs to be always ON by connecting them directly to the battery. I want the leds to be on when the quad is armed and flash when not armed. So I need to connect them to the apm ARM-SIGNAL-PIN.
Watch the video on the blog."

Wipo replied to Raph's discussion Yaw Stability - derivative coupling between yaw and pitch in Arducopter Y6 Owners
"Hi,

As for my opinion the answer to your question depends on your setup (frame, motor, prop, distance,...) and you should test that yourself. It is possible that different prop size (top, bottom) or different pitch (top, bottom) may be more…"
