ConfigTool v1.4.12

I dropped the "Beta 4" and changed it to just v1.4 revision 12 = 1.4.12.This version has a bug fix to try and address users with locales using "," (comma) as their decimal points. Please let me know how it works. It also includes Jordi's 48 waypoints fix.Download Here: ConfigTool.zipArduTool143.gif

  • Also, Chris, you may want to uncheck the "Over Terrian" checkbox. It gets rid of those extra pesky columns.
  • I'll investigate. As for the second issue (Select COM Port cut off) mine shows up just fine. I'm running XP Pro and you're on Vista. I'll see what I can do about making it wider.

I'm afraid I still get an error (see explanation in screen shot below) if I click on a new row after entering an altitude but not hitting Enter:

Also, there is still a small cosmetic problem with the Port selection menu item, circled below:

  • I just posted another version. I've made a bunch of changes to the Altitude and Radius settings (in the hopes I'll catch all the possible blank entries or non numeric possibilities). I've also added a Compatibility check for Google Maps. It forwards to this site http://maps.google.com/support/bin/topic.py?topic=10781 which has troubleshooting for Google Maps. I still haven't looked into the "Read" function not reading the home position correctly after using the D6 bind plug.
  • Hello HappyKillmore, the link load fine in FireFoxwithout a problem. Google maps works on my PC (I don't have Google Earth installed, is this required too?)

ArduPilot Config Tool Beta 3 is showing a map and the [Update Maps] button is working properly.

    Here is a screen shot

On my laptop which has IE8 installed the map is shown properly. An IE version beyond v6 (probably IE8) is required.

HappyK, have you noticed that if you enter a new altitude and click on another row before hitting Enter you get the error below? Also, the word "port" is cut off in the serial port selection menu item.

  • I'm about to send it to Chris and he's going to post it on the Google code repository.
  • Hello,

Thank you HappyKilmore to have implemented my suggestions !! You work very fast !!
May I have the source code of the new version 1.4.8 or latest please ?

    Thank you !
  • I'm not sure how Jordi wanted that to work, but I can't say for sure that the "Read" button will get the home position as set by the bind plug. I haven't done any testing with that (nor do I think I changed anything to do with that since Beta 3)....
  • when I acquire a home position using the pin 6 bind process and then do a read, the home position shows up as WP1, not the position in the "Home Position box. That position tracks the position of the home position marker on the map
