DIY Drones at 72,000 members!

3689669509?profile=original

It's customary and traditional that we celebrate the addition of every 1,000 new members here and share the traffic stats. This time it's a big 72,000!!!!

There were approximately 1.2 million page views in the last month! (we now get around 40,000 page views a day on average). It took us just 35 days to add these latest 1,000 members--we're averaging one new member every 50 minutes!

Thanks as always to all the community members who make this growth possible, and especially to the administrators and moderators who approve new members, blog posts and otherwise respond to questions and keep the website running smoothly.

Regards,

TCIII Admin

  • Congrats!!!!. I observe that rate goes down in July and is stable in january, perhaps is related that the main users are in winter in january, better time to visit forums and build and in summer better time to fly? only an opinion.

    Female stadistics? It's increasing?  ;)

    @Lockhart,

    In a way yes, the graph that you see is the number of Page Views per day over a period of around 2.75 years and as you can see it has a slightly negative slope, but our latest average per day per month is still pretty good given the increased competition for membership attention in the sUAS community.

  • Ah! It is a graph of the rate, not of the volume. That makes sense, now. Should have caught that. Thanks!

    @Lockhart,

    Yes, it is taking us slightly longer to attain each additional 1k gain in membership each month, however the Admins feel that it is the quality of the membership on the website and not the quantity of the membership of the website.

    The graph clearly shows that the rate is slowing, but not the volume, nor total.

  • Is it just me? I see Thomas' posts on the number of DIYDrones members, and I can't help but think that the trend over time is going down, not up. Is the y-axis a log scale, or something? Does anyone else thing this?

  • Thanks TC3 - awesome..I dont see me and my kin on the stats, but as always, we add to the total.
