From Business Insider:
The Golf Channel is apparently testing a new way to film golfers at this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
Titleist posted this photo of the Golf Channel's hover camera flying over one of its pros, Scott Stallings, hitting at the range. It looks insane.
Below this photo, we have a Vine embedded of the thing. It's not quiet. We have no idea how this is going to work at a golf tournament, which emphasizes silence.

@PeteD: I don't think they use helicopters at the tourneys. Don't they use the goodyear blimp--precisely because it is quiet?
A Runryder poster with an octocopter has good salesman skills.
Come on, its not above there heads, they look to be 8-10m away....there will be of course guidelines for its usage
I stink at approach shots as it is.
Retractable landing gear gets a thumbs up.
They often use helicopters to get shots at golf tourneys and a hexa like this could easily replace a full size heli. But not like this. That is just too close and the noise would be distracting.
I wonder how long before the FAA addresses this one?
Just goes to prove that if you have enough money and clout, you can do anything you want...even when the FAA will tell the rest of us it is not legal to use these for commercial purposes...oh well.
I don't think I want a flying lawn mower right next to my head.. sorry.. those things aren't all that safe and if it fell the 3K+ RPM blades could kill or really hurt someone.
Don't really think I'd like that there right when I was ready to make the putt.
