Hobbyking has done it again and have gone that step further.

500mw telemetry modules for amp/px4 and pixhawk is a reality.

    If you compare the module layout to a standard HM-TRP module you'll find that there are at least 2 extra chips. I wonder what those are.

    The drotek model appears to be a standard HM-TRP, and it looks like there might be another module on the back, but the model on readytoflyquads looks like a different module, and the module appears to be clearly connected directly to the antenna, which means there is no extra PA/LNA.

    There probably is a PA and an LNA on-board.

    Into a mismatched antenna 500mw just generates heat.

    I've never heard of, nor can I find any information on a HM-TRP with 500 mW output power.  In looking at some of these pictures, it looks like the module is connected directly to the antenna, so I don't think there is an additional PA.  Also, the module looks different than the 100 mW HM-TRP.  Does anyone know what module these devices are using?

    I am particularly glad on the 433mhz 500mw and their price.

    @Martin Drotek might be first to have it but you cannot beat hobbykings price.
