  • "old stuff".. Indeed, the idea of a free and open (opensource) autopilot likely started with Paparazzi in 2002. Here's the orig. website: http://www.nongnu.org/paparazzi/gallery_v0.html

FWIW: If you have an orig. ATMEGA based Paparazzi autopilot you can still be flying it with the latest code (i.e. it's still supported). Meaning likely Paparazzi would run on the AP and APM? Hmm..

  • I was gonna say ..my chinese sucks..but the date on my uav osd.is set months off...but so what when did this become a pissing contest
  • Actually in the pop-up bubbles on the videos he says that his camera date is set wrong.  I don't think that was shot in 2007...

"Do you know where this project is now?"

No idea. Found it and took a drink.

OK just kidding. Simply found it on youtube. At least it was not Chinese Open Source project.

  • But Chris's idea was to share it with others and make it available worldwide.
  • Do you know where this project is now?

To say nothing of High Altitude Glider Project.
  • 3D Robotics
To say nothing of Maynard Hill, who outdid us all by flying an amateur UAV across the Atlantic in 2003.
