London DIYDrones meetup with Chris Anderson on Oct 13th

3689427277?profile=originalI'm going to be in London on Oct 13th and 14th for the Wired UK conference (where there will be an ArduCopter demo--thanks to those coming to do that). For those who can't make it to the conference, I'm hosting a meetup dinner at 7:00pm on Thurs, Oct 13th at Number Twelve, a nearby restaurant .  Dinner is on me, but space is limited. Please sign up in the comments below.

(Feel free to bring toys, but I'm afraid there will be no flying in the restaurant!)

    Hi all ! Are there places still available ? Just learned I'm not working Thursday or Friday. I'm in Ireland but would be quite happy to hop on a plane to London on Thursday.

    Rats...  If it were not for work, it would be tempting to hop over and pretend to be a Londoner. :)  

    Chris, you are more than welcome to Iceland some day!  It is  a very nice stop-over en-route to Europe with Icelandair.

    But if you can sneak your UAV into the restaurant, and fly it from the table and into the kitchen and back without the staff noticing, then there is most likely a DARPA contract waiting for you. On the other hand, even if you do not get caught, you'll likely (and rightly) get thrown out of the restaurant by your fellow members for risking a bad reputation for amateur UAV operators... ;)
