I recently purchased a MAVlink telemetry processor in order to get basic telemetry straight back to my Taranis+ TxPlugged it in and ..... not very much happened. Got in touch with Airborne Projects and we have been having a right royal time trying…

"Took a few seconds ....... about 20% right of the left margin and about 25% down?
I can imagine you going nuts looking at hours of that sugar cane!

One went on a full sized sailplane retrieve where the guy had landed in a sunflower crop field. The…"

"Tested my height following with lidar today. Passing close over my car ( noooooooo ) and even over me and it works beautifully. My only comment is that we need some indication of what is in charge of height,  ( as opposed to altitude ). An indicator…"

"I've learned very quickly to get the throttle stick centred before switching to Alt Hold! I think a delay on the switch and a centre stick reminder might be good. Time to tinker with my Taranis! :)"

ian Molesworth replied to Rnold's discussion Almost ruined my Pixhawk by pulling out connectors in PIXHAWK
"Nope, you are not the only one.
I believe the next Pixhawk uses different connectors.

What we really need is a fast, optical link between an IMU/sensor board and a CPU/IO board with big chunky connectors on it.

No more broken connectors and with…"

"I've got a lot of kinks out of my setup now.
3.3 and Tower beta release play very nicely together. Tested 'Follow Me' this afternoon. and got the Hero4 Gopro slung on the FeiYu 3d Mini gimbal for the first time. Just downloading the video to see how…"

"Ditto with me. Generally the airframe stays on all the time. I have a paper clip nearby to do a reset occasionally when I am playing adding hardware or tinkering with setups.
Wouldn't surprise me if it's a Windoze problem. I've had it completely…"

"Does APM Leak?
Without fail if I leave my bird attached to a power supply for a couple of hours when I try to connect to MP via USB it wont connect. I wondered if there was a memory leak.
Reset the PH and it's all good.
Not the end of the world ( I…"

ian Molesworth replied to Pmarche's discussion Loosing Altitude Help in PIXHAWK
"I suspect its an aerodynamic problem not a control one. As your vehicle flies forward a very small low pressure zone is forming around the controller and the baro sensor, just enough for the algorithms to see what they think is a slight increase in…"

I like the drop into Alt Hold mode on GPS glitch and having…"
