In a year that marks the centenary of the professional firefighter in Victoria, CyberQuad sets the standard for innovation in firefighting.

MFB believes CyberQuad has huge potential for delivering information from difficult incidents where an aerial perspective would greatly help manage and coordinate the emergency effort. Mediadroid: Was just going to say the same. We use a lot of those Pelican cases at work. Very nice and sturdy, but damn expensive.
  • Never thought I'd see a reference to Kylie Minogue on DIY Drones!  Does the best version of "Santa Baby" out there (not the live one, either).  I think there's a bronze statue of her in Melbourne or somewhere.  Good one, Gary!
  • @Marco - "... size of a car tyre..." not a whole car. Although when I read it the first time I thought is said "car" too.

@Gary - maximum respect for managing to work a picture of Kylie in to my otherwise humdrum Friday afternoon :-)
  • ouch are we that old? sure don't feel like it...;-)

They are in Australia Dave, it is 15 years ago

(standing by for flames, yes you have advanced UAS rules for flight in the NAS and the Outback Challenge and Kylie Minogue, better add an image for those who might not know who that is)

  • I just havent heard a term like cyber for about 15 years! How very lawnmower man!
  • Lol! In the ninemsn article they wrote: "...which is about the size of a car...". I guess they have really small cars down under!

27K$ seems a lot for a system using a standard remote tx, but not so much compared to other professional stuff. I guess the FLIR camera is the most expansive part.
