  • Nice.Do you think the size of the helly matters?A smaller one will do the trick or bigger better? Also how to you deal with image tremble.I saw on internet a better platform in my opinion:

More stable but a little faster
  • Since the area was closed to the public it looks like a reasonably safe way to shoot promos. I'd like to see how stable the finished product is. Using a "pole" (crane) is very time consuming as John said. If you want a moving shot you have to lay tracks to keep the camera stable. Using a full sized helicopter is a lot more dangerous over a populated area and there's no way to fly it down streets and between the buildings the way this small one can.

Mike: There is a lot of time spent rigging when using a pole. And each time you change angles or location you have to go trough the whole process again. As for the safety of a R/C camship it is a matter of perspective. The traditional option would be to use a full size helicopter.

    Hi Mike ,
in that place there was a lot of police man and security that close the road and streets was a controlled set with a security distance between the people and the hely . It was a video set ... not a open place . And an assurance on Pilot and Hely for this kind of work.
  • Scary - do we really need helis flying in streets doing what can be done from a pole? Looks very irresponsible to me...
  • Over water and that far, nice job.
