I got my Sony Webbie! and with the wide lense. It's installed in the nose of my easystar, I was a little nervous if it was too heavy for the star. The test flight went ok, although the weather was bad.I think it's a great camera for UAV and FPV, although it is big for the Easystar.*AV out.*Hi res HD on the SD card.
I have also acquired a magnetic lens system that I use it on my flip camera. I think I have increased the field of vision by about 35%. We don't have to go nearly as high and it seems to have helped in smoothing out the video a bit. Still not sure if I should switch to the webbie. I have included a pic of the lens and an image pulled from the video.
I have been using that camera for about 6 months and is very good. But i had vibration problems using HD 1080, whem recording video, VGA works incredible well. The live video is great too! Also if you want i can mod your webbie to take pictures a video using your radio control and disable the image rotation when you rotate the camera up and down... .
For good video reception I use the EZ tracking antenna with ground station.
It uses the Right audio signal to send GPS info from the EZosd.
I'm not a salesman, but it's just - real Plug and Play. Great OSD + Tracking antenna + Ground Station using Google earth.
I know this Ez from Immersion is no news, but I like the very easy and simple way off using hard technology.
Maybe it has some interest from the Arduteam. No need of extra transmitter to send info from GPS - just like the Xbee.
The sound on the video are just to show the signal comming from the transmitter. (awful sound)
Hooks,
I'm using the same camera and attaching it to the same location in my tailless. I used velcro to fix it and a thin velcro strap to make sure everything stayed put.
I didn't know you could get a wide lens as an option and I like the way you rigged a servo to it.

What software are you using at the end to stitch together the motion compensated frames? Something like Deshaker?
Cheers,
