sorry this is a kit only ,servos etc not included . sorry i did not make this clear . I have been using the turnigy servos for the pan / tilt but the resolution is crappy . i am changing to hitec hs-5055 digital servos for camera duty . cheap is great but if it means an inferior product , whats the point ?
  • If your going to be retailing that aircraft for only $150-$200. I'd say that is an awesome bargain...that is, if all of those servos, batteries, and motor/prop is included. Heck, the motor alone is 60 bucks lol.

    Okay
    electrical specs:
    motor - EFLIGHT power 10
    ESC - thunderbird 54
    prop - APC E11x7
    servos - 2x HS-81s(elevator,rudder) 4x tunigy tg9e mico servos (2x ailerons ,pan,tilt)
2x 2500 mah 3s lipos . 5000mah will give you around 45 min flight times
I have flown this model twice and have done many flight with its previous alfa model . i will be doing more flights this week and will be sharing the videos i get from it which include an OSD . I have yet to push it to the limits but am very keen to do so in the coming days . i do have some video of the alfa model with 15 second climb-outs to +500 ft

I designed the plane for maximum neutral stability . Hit the throttle and it goes straight , not up or down .

Here are some pics showing the wing attachment .

as you can see the main spar is carbon fiber tubes joined by a 6" solid CF piece the wooden box structure simply captures the tube .

  • Nice looking plane. Somethng that jumped out at me was the wing root area and the fact there is not a lot of material there. I assume the wooden "spar" goes out into the wing, but as the EPP forms part of the structure of the wing at the root, I would think you would want to maintain as much material there as possible. Very interested in flight characteristics. Have you flown this design yet?
  • I for one would be very interested in learning more. Please feel free to forward
more information as it becomes available and thanks for helping show us that
there's more than one way to approach this.

Your plane looks very nice :-), but I was interested in finding out how you achieve the 1hour+ endurance? Could you share details on ur electronic specs?

I understand if you dont want to share any of ur electonic specs right now since i guess you are planning to sell this. You mentioned the cost of $150-$200, what all is included in that cost? airframe + servo, motor, esc, battery.. or just the airframe?
  • whats the electronics specs?
