And again everyone here is a "hacker" dont stereotype others until you know the full picture! There are many others on here actively breaking actual laws using this hobby, worry about them giving UAV's a bad name.
I am very disappointed to see someone as intelligent as you both are, jump to immediate and inaccurate conclusions, without bothering to stop and ask any questions, or get any of the facts. If you had taken the time to do a little research, and/or asked a simple question you might have found the following information, which appears to be in direct conflict with the statements you have made:
One of the "criminal" builders of the airplane in question, is a long time hobbyist, previous owner of a R/C hobby shop, a member of the DIY Drones community, and has even posted photographs of the drone in question on these very forums.
Both individuals, involved with the project did an extensive amount of research on the laws and regulations prior to building this airplane, and have never flown above 400ft altitude, nor has the airplane ever been out of LOS. The airplane has only been flown at approved AMA flying fields, and both operators are insured by AMA.
The only networks "hacked" with this UAV are networks owned and operated by the owners of the vehicle.
Of course none of you were there when we were up at dawn, AMA memberships in hand, pouring over preflight checklists at the local RC airfield with one of the local RC flying club's senior instructor pilots at the controls. I find it a more than a little disingenuous to see the posts screaming about "Stupid Evil Hackers Want to Destroy My Hobby" while the very same blog contains posts entitled "Lesson: Don't fly planes over secure National Labs!"

So please take note, the members of rabbit-hole.org do not condone, nor do we participate in, any illegal or even questionable activities.
Just because it's different, doesn't make it illegal.
