Building Possibly My Last Multicopter
I left the hobby in 2022 after the crash of my Tarot Ironman due to a propeller blade separation resulting in complete destruction of the aircraft. Since then I have been flying an old DJI MAvic Pro that I bought used from a photographer who wanted to upgrade. Anyway, recently l've thought about wanting to build one more multicopter. I enjoyed the challenges of building one plus the satisfaction of flying something I built. So I decided to once again embark on a build project. My needs…

Turns out that blue adapters do screw on black motors. Priv msg your address and ill post 1 or 2 on monday.
Hi mP1 - unfortunately they are not. Yours have 4 holes. The black ones have only 3. Thanks very much for replying though :)
@Spencer
Ive got a few blue adapters, i just dont know if they are compat with blacks. If they are private msg me and ill pop one in the post from Sydney.
Dear All,
I live in Perth, Australia. This week I broke a prop adapter for a black 880kV motor - this is the piece that is screwed to the top of each motor - you attach the prop to this. It had already been weakened after I straightened it after a crash.
I am helping out this week on a field trip with a group of botanical researchers in country WA collecting plant material. I was all set to get some habitat footage with my Y6 to help their project. I have some spare motors on order from 3dr but they will not arrive in time. I don't know any place in Oz that supplies these motors.
This is a humble request - does anyone live in the Perth area that is able to lend me a spare prop adapter for next week? I can happily pay with a slab of beer :D

Hi folks,
I finally got to SaveTrim my Hquad yesterday and was a success.
Then I checked for interference using Mission Planner "compassmot"
The results:
-at 10% throttle: 57% of mag field
-at 50% throttle : 151% of mag field
-at 80% throttle: 229% of mag field
What materials is best to shield my APM2.5? Foam? Plastic? Wood?
I plan to re-wire my red & black esc wires. And plan to move APM higher on the frame.
I typically rely on a battery low voltage indicator which alarms at around 10%. That is where i have considered low voltage for landing. At any rate i don't typically use the low voltage fail safe. Maybe a problem long since solved but it used to not work so well and would trigger if I looked at it funny. For mapping these various fields I have been trying to optimize for a return at around 10%-15% remaining.
BTW we figured out the GPX.log file for overwriting the GPS info to the exif data.
