Drone flying to non visible point
Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. It goes straight to some point, so I assume it's not mechanical problem. I attached the link to…

@ Paul N Braida M.E, yes you can swap out from another APM, and I have done the surgery. But you must have a hotair rework tool. And it is rather fiddely to be certain. The compass may be purchased new from Ebay in multiples of 5 for less than one from Digikey. I believe that the M8N will work as a better solution that the Ublox 6N but not the 7. These GPS/Compass combos can easily be purchased (Ebay), and your biggest task will be to double check the pinout and the 4 and 5 pin connectors. I am not sure of the offset that one would make in Mission Planner as one removes the compass from the PCB. This is a major consideration and config with the Naza M Lite and M V2.
the easiest way is an ext compass, you can use a gps/compass one if you want, that is the APM 2.6
Can I swap out a compass from another APM?
oops! I meant external Compass.
Can I use an M8N compass/GPS unit on the APM 2.5 and configure parameters to external antenna?
You can use external compass
Looking for APM 2.5 compass help. Says bad compass health yet when connected to mavlink shows it working ok. Can compass be replaced?
I'm assembling a robocat 270 motors but I'm not shure if I have to use H or X config, It's have more distance side to side than front-rear, thank's
@ Thomas Stanley-Jones the tool that Cala suggested works great for servo plug type connectors and the pins and sockets can be found just about anywhere-hobby.
As for the DF13 connectors I buy from Digi-key, here is the link to the CONN CONTACT 26-30AWG CRIMP TIN (pins), DF13-2630SCF
and here is a link to CONN SOCKET HOUSING 4POS 1.25MM, DF13-4S-1.25C:
I buy 2-6 pin housings and Digi-key sells up to 40 pin ones.
The HK crimp tool I didn;t have much luck with and I have a similar tool that I paid $130 for and doesn't do any better.
The best tool I found that works numerous types of pins/sockets(package says
80 different types of terminals) including the Servo and DF15 is a:
PA-09 Micro Connector Pliers by Engineer that you can get for under $40, works on 32-20awg wire, Molex, JST etc. pins.
Hope this Helps-Don
