  • hi, can someone help me with APM 1???

  • Make a cable as Tony describe, I removed the little pins from the connector and change their place

  • How do you do!

  • Yes, that the correct position, mine is working now like that. Another thing that don't sound right is a red wire in SCL and a black one in vcc.

  • The connection cable provided with the GPS is straight, no cross-over of TX/RX (just the whole connector is up/down), but as the motherboard of the GPS (I opened it) is not labelled we don't know that the RX goes to RX as Cala suggests. The only documentation is on the PixFalcon side, so the GPS obviously has TX and RX pins the other way around as Craig says, else it wouldn't work. Both of you are right, no mistake has been made by the Holybro manufacturer besides not documenting the PixFalcon peripherals (shame because the rest of the docs and web site are nice and clean).

    On the GPS side we have then, from left to right:

    1 = GND (pin 6 on FC)

    2 = TX (RX on FC)

    3 = RX (TX on FC)

    4 = VCC +5V

    5 = SDA

    6 = SCL (red, pin 1 on FC)

    Sound right?

  • Yes, but labels were reverse in pixfalcon vs gps, rx with Rx and Tx with Tx, the easier way is if this guys stamped the board as many do, they have lot of space.

  • TX and RX are always reversed. TX goes to RX and RX goes to TX. That's how serial devices communicate.

  • Finally I found the gps in Gervais post, reverse Tx and Rx and works :D http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2576614 in Pixfalcon they are reversed :(

  • No GPS, the green light work, horrible that any stamped references, any documentation, bad product. :(

Building Possibly My Last Multicopter

I left the hobby in 2022 after the crash of my Tarot Ironman due to a propeller blade separation resulting in complete destruction of the aircraft. Since then I have been flying an old DJI MAvic Pro that I bought used from a photographer who wanted to upgrade. Anyway, recently l've thought about wanting to build one more multicopter. I enjoyed the challenges of building one plus the satisfaction of flying something I built. So I decided to once again embark on a build project. My needs…

Drone flying to non visible point

Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. It goes straight to some point, so I assume it's not mechanical problem. I attached the link to…
