About Me:

Software and hardware developer. A lot of expertise in risk-of-life software and hardware, especially battery operated. I do real-time control systems on various platforms. I also have strong recent wireless data & high precision GPS expertise

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I plan to make a large electric UAV platform similar in size and layout to the RQ7, but with at T-tail, twin puller 10kW electric motors, batteries, and an optional APU to keep the batteries charged. Initial flights will be battery only, followed by APU assisted flights. Initial concept and engineering design is around an all-metal construction. This may be refined to a hybrid composite design. I don't plan to do any serious work on the control systems asides from perhaps a microwave altitude sensor for landings.

Jeremy Ardley replied to Jeremy Ardley's discussion APM 2.5 power controller ? Where? How?
"I forgot to mention that the existing build has an ECM and I assume that it plugs into the APM as the other servos do. The problem is how and why this new cable is to be used."
