Buying Michael Oborne a Beer

If you don't know, Michael Oborne is the author of the Mission Planner we all use and love.

The latest version I'm using is 1.2.35.

For a long time I've wanted to buy a beer for Michael to thank him for his efforts and time in writing and updating the Mission Planner. But he lives in Australia and I live in the USA, which limits my options, until now.

I just noticed a new button that appeared at the top of the Mission Planner to the right of Help button.

In small letters is the word, donate. Click it and you can get a web page to donate to Michael.

So I encourage everyone to buy Michael a beer.

Thank you again Michael for all your hard work and some awesome software.

Richard

  • I updated the MP, saw the button and used it immediately.

I'd do the same for Randy and Leonard too. They take a lot of gruff sometimes. They must truly love helping people.

  • I really don't think he should be CUI (coding under influence)  - if lots of beer is purchased, I'd refrain from upgrading then next 5-10 releases  :)

  • Yep, I used that button last week. He needs some reward for the work he puts in :)
