Hey all, does anyone have experience tuning a quad with large, powerful but slow props?
I'm putting together a new copter with 16" props running on 380 kv motors, 4S. It will have a lot of power, but I imagine it will be slow to respond to inputs so I'm not sure which way to go for the initial settings.
Any advice much appreciated!

Hi, i have same setup for now, coud you gain pid for stable hover and flight, can you share your experiences about this setup?
I used to fly a 5010/360 kV quad with 16x5.5 props. Up until some russian guy decided brushless motors are great for driving gimbals and i rewound them all.
Cant tell from memory how my PIDs were set, but it was before accelerometers were used for Loiter, and I bet you'll have a handful of trouble with vibration.
I recommend you just start with the process in Randy's maiden flight video and go from there.
