I purchased a Hexacopter from UDrones with all the bells and whistles (over $2000).

As I began to assemble the landing gear, I noticed that one set of "feet" were missing as well as miscellaneous nuts/screws.

I emailed UDrones without receiving a reply.  When I called customer service, I was told that they would look into it an email me back.....still no reply.

I am prepared to return a $2k order over the poor customer service and about $5 worth of parts.

Is anyone else fed up w/ this company or am I over-reacting?

****************UPDATE********************

Thanks to all that have responded to my rant.  The problem regarding the "missing" parts has been solved and therefore I no longer am interested in sending back the product.  However, in regards to the customer service I am pleased with the response that I received via this forum post, but still have reservations about the guys answering the phones.

UDrones - when I crash this thing, you still have my business.....for now....

  • J,

I was just looking at the UDrones web site, and found this reference to the video setup:

If you ordered the FPV/OSD option, you will need an independent 12V power supply. It comes already with the connector plug XT60 to connect any 3s (11.1V) Lipo battery, any capacity from 1000 [mAh] to 1300 [mAh] will give you around 30-40 mins of power.

I think it safe to assume the connector in question is for your video system :-)

    Good luck with your finals.

    BTW, what are you studying?

  • J,
Did you see the link to this assembly PDF?

A hex only uses 3 legs like a tripod. I also thought they had shorted me on my hex legs. Also don't forget they are working out of Mexico and things happen slower down south. LOL.
  • J,

Can you share a photo of your hexa? I believe they only use three legs. Is that what you are running into?

  • Hello J, we are here, and we are listening.

We will certainly get you taken care of.  Could you please just send me a specific list of what you're missing, and we'll get it out the door ASAP.
