3DR fails to connect

Hi Guys, I just want to share what happened to my team a while ago at the field. We just installed the airspeed sensor the previous night. When we tried to connect via 3DR, it hangs at this part of the parameters

3690972927?profile=originalWe tried several reboots, reflashes to previous firmware and it still wouldn't connect. We decided to abort the flight test after we got stumped. Miraculously, upon retrying on the bench at home, 3DR works fine. We're using Arduplane 2.66, Mav 1.2.19 and the 433mhz 3DR telemetry.

What could the hanging of the mavlink connection be indicative of?

Regards,

Serge G.

  • I have seen that powering your 3DR from a separate onboard supply has fixed a few issues in the past. You may have a funky ESC. Check its voltage under load. Drop the output power from the 3DR and check if it connects. Also ensuring the antenna is away from your APM will help.

Does it work over a USB connection?
  • Looks like a similar problem here.

  • yes, USB disconnected, baud rate 57600, proper com port selected. :(

  • if apm2 / apm2.5  usb disconnected?

    com port selected?

    baud rate 57600?
