  • hi guys...it`s possible to tune the speed response of the servo in the ap_ mount code?? because i found the servo not compensate very well...i use two hi speed servo in mount pan and tilt....i read the code and the camera stab only refresh at 10 hz

  • Ok Im a dummy...I did have MP on my lappy but it wouldnt connect to the apm (would& get 224 of the 235 files & time out). In frustration I removed all MP programs. Now I dont know if I have downloaded the right ones 2) all the software.)

    My l/top is 32bit XP. I got .net installed. and MP32-1.2.13.msi but wont install.

    something about verify a valid windows installer package. Also tried the zip files but no idea what to do once I open the folder.

    just start with APM 2.5 .......

    all values about GPS and compass are ok.....

    but values about vertical speed, altimeter, etc........ crap! the numbers are rolling..... and no variation of bank if I move the mock-up....

    any idea what and where to investigate??

  • Just purchased Ardupilot mega 2.5 so i am excited to get started. i am a newbie but i want to design  a HIL system with x-plain sending the UAV dynamics to a  test bench ( comprising of motor, esc, control surfaces). I will then use matlab simulink state-flow to run the control algorithms. So its exciting and will be sharing the progress. Any advice and suggestions will be appreciated. mega thanx!

    Jerry, depending on the gain value you have set for roll to pitch feedforward, you may be seeing normal behavior.  Many airframes require some "back stick pressure" while banked, which is the purpose of that gain term.  In an elevon configuration it can produce the behavior you describe.

  • I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question. How do I set the P-I-D values for my CAMERA GIMBAL using APM (Mission Planner). I use APM-1 board.

    If it can be set, I would save tons of my time...

  • Hi, I noticed in stabalize mode, in a turn my elevons only go up, not down, but when I pitch the plane up they move down. I've tried every combination under configuration, and can't get them to work.

    I went ahead and launched my x8 and put it in stablize mode, I noticed it turns a little to the right. I tried to trim it, but didn't help. Is this related? I did set level before taking off.

    I was wondering if you lost Radio signal, will APM 2.5 switch straight to RTL and bring your plane home and circle until you have radio signal again?

    Do have to program that in or will it do it automatically?

Cruise speed

Hi,I want to adjust cruise speed.At default settings I have a ground speed of about 42km/h (without airspeed sensor), and I think the optimal speed should be lower. In the mission planner I have value "Cruise speed", default 12m/s. I updated it to 9.5, but don't see any change in actual cruise speed.How to set cruise speed?Are these different settings with RTL speed? Long distance LiPo

I'm currently building a Talon (v3), mainly waiting for parts.While looking for high capacity batteries I found out two things; There are a lot of brands, and prices are still steep in the high-cap regions.I've also seen a few people on the Tube using 18650 cells, but none of those explain why.Does anyone here have experience with these custom 18650 packs?And which 'cheap' brands of standard 5~12A 4S seem to work best?I'm going to use an Emax GT3526 710KV swinging a 13x6.5 prop, which should…

Quad plane pitch problem

Hi I have been setting up 2 quad planes, pretty standard setups...flying wing with 4 vtol motors and a rear mounted pusher motor. Both builds wich are on different firmware versions have reversed pitch in quad mode but correct pitch and pitch stabilisation in plane mode. I cannot for the life of me find a parameter related solely to quad pitch reversal. Is there anyone out there that can help with this? Thanks.

PreArm Check Error : Gyros inconsistent

Hi guys, I have a Pixhawk from Radiolink and always in every first attempt of armed I get the error "PreArm: Gyro Inconsistent".The most strange thing is that i'm using only the external gyro+compass. i disabled the internal to avoid this issue. Also- I tried to recalibrate the gyros at least 5 times.- I changed the firmware version from the latest to the 3.8.53 because i have a friend with the same board and he does not have issues.But i have the same behaviorIf i disconnect the battery and…
