Got my Y6 today. Made it about to step 3 before my first stupid question.
Ok, step 2 I guess.
Attach propellers. Remove the rings from the propeller packages. Select the ring with the smaller internal diameter, and insert into the back of the propeller hub.
Done.
Remove the nuts ........... and add propellers.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM.
The propeller will not go on the shaft. If I take the "ring" out it will screw onto the shaft, but not go on beyond the threaded portion.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

So I took a round file and filed them down just a bit to they fit on, but snuggly. Was that bad?
You will definitely need to balance your props. Even filing the smallest of plastic from a prop hub will unbalance the prop.
Also; since the filing will have changed the hub - rather than the prop blade, you will need to take that into account when you are balancing. You will need to add/reduce weight to the hub rather than the blades. Look up prop balancing on youtube. there is some good stuff there that includes how an unbalanced hub can be diagnosed and rectified.
The APM props from 3DR (I gather that is what you are using) are pretty precise. However, I always find that I am adding tape to the blade or glue to the hub to get them balanced to my liking.
Good luck
Hi Tom
The thread is very tight.
You can screw on by hand as far as it will go, then use the nut (and I use an internal star washer) to tighten the rest of the way.
A tight fit is a good fit, but I strongly suggest you balance your props before attaching to the motor as they will not come off easily.

With some motors/props I've had to run the appropriate sized drill bit through the adapter ring. It is easier to do before you break it out of it's moulding. Either way it has to be done very carefully - try just turning the drill by hand.
